We are pleased to announce the reopening of the pool. Programs will resume in phases, and each visit will require a reservation. Lane swimming, AquaFit, and leisure swim will begin on a limited basis from January 20th-31st with additional sessions starting February 1st. Swimming lessons will also resume on February 1st and is available in private, semi-private, family, or small group classes, with modifications for physical distancing.

SAVE the DATE & YOUR Bottles

Location: Corner of Ocean Blvd and Island Highway parking lot next to Westshore Parks & Recreation 

The Westshore Skatepark Coalition (WSC) and West Shore Parks & Recreation are hosting its 2nd bottle drive with the hopes it will be as successful as the first. Pull up, stay in your car and have your bottles removed and sorted for you at this physically-distanced fundraiser.

Our winter golf pass is now on sale.

Enjoy unlimited rounds of golf, seven days a week from October through the end of March for only $250 plus tax.

The Juan de Fuca par 3 golf course consists of nine beautifully-manicured holes. With yardage ranging from 79 to 170 and seven water hazards, this course is considered by many as the most challenging par 3 course on the on the island yet still ideal for beginners and families alike.

WSPR’s After School Care program incorporates physical literacy, diverse art, craft and science activities along with lots of time for free play and socialization. We currently have spaces available in our After School Care program, Monday to Friday, servicing Happy Valley, Wishart, and Sangster schools. All other school routes are full at this time.

Centennial Centre for Arts, Culture and Community, is located in Langford at 2805 Carlow Road.

The new pottery studio is spacious and offers a creative environment to enjoy working with clay. WSPRS invites you to experience our new studio opening in early 2021. Programs offered include: Open Studio Time (previously known as Drop-In Pottery), Beginners Adult Pottery Classes, Pottery Night, Private and Semi-Private Lessons, Pottery for Kids Programs, Home Learners Pottery and much more.

Starting September 2021, WSPR is excited to offer a wide variety of programs to suit your child care needs and to start your child’s journey on an active, curious and healthy lifestyle. With funding from Ministry of Children and Family Development, and Union of British Columbia Municipalities renovations have started in the upper JDF Rec Centre to create the new WSPR Childcare Centre.

Included in this beautiful new community space will be 24 new full-time daycare, 30 new preschool and 40 new after school care spaces and an outdoor play ground for licensed care. Early Childhood Education certified leaders are trained in Fundamental Movement and physical literacy skills and facilitate inclusive, safe and enjoyable activities that encourage the children’s physical, emotional, intellectual, and social development in all programs!
